We are in the mountains, just southeast of Bryson City, North Carolina, and just north of the Georgia State line.
Driving Instructions: Often GPS systems do not function properly in the mountains.
Please follow the directions below. Do not rely on your GPS. Also, the final short leg is up (and we really mean up) a dirt and gravel road to reach the lodge. Please put your car in low gear, maintain a slow and steady speed, and do not stop.
From Asheville:
Take I-40 West, then US 74/23 West (exit #27). Take exit 64; turn left towards Alarka Road. Stay on Alarka Road approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Deep Gap Road; drive approximately 1 mile. Turn right onto Jones Creek Road; drive approximately 0.4 mile. Turn right onto Bee Branch Road; drive approximately 0.5 mile, and you will see our sign.
From Atlanta:
Take I-85 North to I-985 until you reach 441 North. At Dillsboro, NC, take Hwy 74 West. Take exit 64; turn left towards Alarka Road. Stay on Alarka Road approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Deep Gap Road; drive approximately 1 mile. Turn right onto Jones Creek Road; drive approximately 0.4 mile. Turn right onto Bee Branch Road; drive approximately 0.4 mile, and you will see our sign.
From Murphy:
Take US 19 North through the Nantahala Gorge. Take exit 64; turn right towards Alarka Road. Stay on Alarka Road approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Deep Gap Road; drive approximately 1 mile. Turn right onto Jones Creek Road; drive approximately 0.4 mile. Turn right onto Bee Branch Road; drive approximately 0.5 mile, and you will see our sign.
From Knoxville:
Take 129 into North Carolina and US 28 through Fontana. Turn left on US 74. Take exit 64. Turn right towards Alarka Road. Stay on Alarka Road approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Deep Gap Road; drive approximately 1 mile. Turn right onto Jones Creek Road; drive approximately 0.4 mile. Turn right onto Bee Branch Road; drive approximately 0.4 mile, and you will see our sign.
